Our Story
The Beginning
Thrivvy began in the wake of the pandemic with the simple idea to become the Expedia of grocery shopping—helping consumers find the best prices as grocery went online and inflation surged. As we built our initial product, we discovered just how fragmented and outdated the grocery data ecosystem really is—especially for food and beverage brands trying to monitor performance, track promotions, and compete effectively across retailers.
The Pivot
Brand owners told us again and again: the data they pay thousands for is weeks old, lacks store-level granularity, and forces teams to stitch together insights from multiple disconnected sources. That insight led us to pivot. Today, Thrivvy is building a grocery market intelligence platform to help brands and retailers monitor real-time store-level data, track pricing and compliance, and generate predictive, actionable insights.
Our Belief
Thrivvy began with a simple belief: grocery is too important—and too complex—to still be run on outdated, incomplete data. As grocery moves online, it's generating billions of real-time data points, but most brands and retailers still make critical decisions using delayed reports and gut instinct. We believe that when data is transformed into clear, visual, and actionable insights, it empowers better decisions that shape what ends up on shelves—and ultimately, what the world eats.
